How to Use the Safety Enclosure with Other LaserPecker Accessories?

In this guide, we will explain how to use the Safety Enclosure with other LaserPecker accessories.

Due to the limited space inside the Safety Enclosure, ensure materials are securely attached to accessories before placing them inside. This minimizes the need for adjustments within the Safety Enclosure.

#1 How to use the Safety Enclosure with the Rotary Extension?

1.1 Prepare the Material on the Rotary Extension

① To lock the angle of the chunk, align the white dots on the chuck with the arrow indicator and press down on the Lock Button.

② To accommodate larger diameter materials, rotate the chuck counterclockwise to open the jaws.

③ Press the Lock Button again to release it.

④ The engraving surface needs to be kept at the same level, otherwise the engraving will not be even.

1.2 Connect the Rotary Extension to the Safety Enclosure

Open the Rear Door of the Safety Enclosure and place the Rotary Extension inside as shown in the illustration. Then use a USB-A to USB-C cable to connect:

USB-C end: Connects to the Rotary Extension.
USB-A end: Connects to the Safety Enclosure.

When the indicator on the Rotary Extension turns solid blue, the connection is successful.

1.3 Operate the Rotary Extension via LDS App/Software

When the communication between the LDS app and the LP machine is established, click the “⚙” icon to turn on the Rotary Extension.

1.4 Preview

After importing your design, make sure the design is within the red rectangle border shown in the illustration. Then tap “preview” and enter the diameter of the material to be engraved. Then adjust the focal length as needed.

1.5 Engrave

Configure the engraving parameters in the app/software and start engraving.

#2 How to use the Versatile Electric Roller with the Safety Enclosure

2.1 Placement of the Versatile Electric Roller

Always place the Versatile Electric Roller on the side where the exhaust fan is located. If placed incorrectly, the final engraving result will appear as a mirror image of your design.

2.2 Connect the Versatile Electric Roller to the Safety Enclosure

Open the Rear Door of the Safety Enclosure. Position the Versatile Electric Roller as shown in the illustration. Then Use a USB-A to USB-C cable for connection:

USB-C end: Connects to the Versatile Electric Roller.
USB-A end: Connects to the Safety Enclosure.

When the indicator on the Versatile Electric Roller turns solid blue, the connection is successful.

2.3 Operate the Versatile Electric Roller via LDS App/Software

Once the LDS app/software is connected to the LP machine, tap the "⚙" (Settings) icon and enable the Versatile Electric Roller.

There are two modes for the Versatile Electric Roller. You need to choose the mode that matches the material type to ensure the best engraving results.

2.4 Preview

After importing your design, make sure the design is within the red rectangle border shown in the illustration. Then adjust the focal length as needed.

2.5 Engrave

Configure the engraving parameters in the app/software and start engraving.

#3 How to use the Slide Extension with the Safety Enclosure?

3.1 Placement of the Laser Unit and Slide Extension

Unscrew the four screws of the top cover and adjust the placement and orientation of the laser unit and the top cover as shown in the illustration.

3.2 Connect the Slide Extension to the Safety Enclosure

Please open the rear door of the Safety Enclosure. Place the Slide Extension as shown in the image. Then use a USB-A to USB-C cable to Connect the Slide Extension to the Safety Enclosure:

USB-C end: Connects to the Slide Extension.
USB-A end: Connects to the Safety Enclosure.

When the indicator on the Slide Extension turns solid blue, the connection is successful.

3.3 Operate the Slide Extension via LDS App/Software

When the connection between the LDS app and the LP machine is established, Tap the “⚙” icon to turn on the “Versatile Electric Roller” and “Free Mode”.

When using the Slide Extension inside the Safety Enclosure, the front and rear doors cannot be closed. Therefore, Free Mode must be enabled. If adequate laser safety measures are not in place, it is not recommended to use the Slide Extension with the Safety Enclosure.

3.4 Preview

After importing your design, make sure the design is within the red rectangle border shown in the illustration. Then adjust the focal length as needed.

3.5 Engrave

Configure the engraving parameters in the app/software and start engraving.

#4 How to use the L-shaped Positioner with the Safety Enclosure?

Change the position of the L-shaped positioner based on the size of the material to be engraved and the design's position shown in preview mode. Secure the positioner to match the object's size for consistent and repeated batch engraving.
