#1 Why does your Safety Enclosure need a firmware upgrade?
A firmware upgrade is necessary to improve performance, fix bugs, apply new features, or ensure compatibility with the latest software.
1. A secure and stable wireless network is required.
2. A stable power supply is required. 3. Avoid moving or operating the machine during the upgrade process.
#2 How to upgrade the Safety Enclosure firmware?
Way 1: Via LDS PC Software
Step 1: Make sure your machine is connected to LDS PC software.
Step 2: In the firmware upgrade pop-up window of the LDS PC software, click "OK."
Step 3: The firmware upgrade will start. This process won't take long, so please be patient. Once complete, a prompt will say "Firmware upgrade successful."
Step 4: Reconnect the device. The red dot in "Settings" will disappear, showing that no further firmware upgrade is needed.
Step 5: Check the basic information of the Safety Enclosure. The image will indicate that the Safety Enclosure firmware is updated.
Way 2:Via LDS App
Step 1: Make sure your machine is connected to the LDS app.
Step 2: Tap the "⚙" icon and scroll to the bottom of the screen to find the red dot in the "Safety Enclosure Firmware Version" section.
Step 3: Tap the red dot and click "OK" in the firmware upgrade pop-up window.
Step 4: The firmware upgrade will begin. It won't take long, so please be patient. Once the upgrade is complete, the "Upgrade Success" screen will appear.
Step 5: After the upgrade, go back to the "⚙" screen. The red dot in the "Safety Enclosure Firmware Version" section will disappear, and the latest version number will be displayed.
#3 What to do if the firmware update fails?
After the firmware installation, reconnect the Safety Enclosure to retrieve the updated machine information. If you don't do this, the firmware update won't appear.
Check your network connection. Your mobile device needs to be connected to the internet to receive the latest firmware information.
Check the machine's cable and power connections to ensure they are stable and properly connected. Also, note that the upgrade cannot be performed if the machine is in engraving mode.
