How to check if your Mac is an M1 series chip or an Intel chip? – LaserPecker

This information is required before downloading the latest LDS . Please refer to the following instructions for details:

On a Mac, tap the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the menu bar to open the menu.

Click to enter the [About this machine] option.

Then, you can see the processor/chip in the pop-up window. See the image below.

If you see an Intel processor in the Processors section, you're using a Mac with an Intel chip.

If you see the Apple M1 (or later) in the Chips section, you're using a Mac with an Apple Silicon CPU .

You can find more specific information about your Mac by clicking [System Report...]. As shown below:

If your Mac has Intel chips, click [For Intel chips] to download.

If your Mac has an Apple chip (M1/M2), click For Apple Silicon to download.
