Data Offset Correction Guide
The data offset correction is used to correct the central points inconsistency in Artist Module and Laser Module, so that the central point of engraving or painting is consistent.
How to fill in the value of [Data Offset] in file settings?
-
Understand the corresponding relationship between the X and Y axes of the machine and the interface of mobile application. Ensure your direction and the machine placement are consistent with the figure below.
-
After confirming the corresponding relationship, prepare a piece of A4 paper or cardboard. Draw a rectangle on the artboard in the mobile application as shown:
-
Create a rectangle by the Laser Module. Do not change the engraving elements in the application interface, as shown below:
-
Switch to Artist Module from Laser Module (here the blue paintbrush is used for differentiation), and draw another rectangle same as the previous one. Then there will be 2 rectangles on the A4 paper as shown below:
-
Measure the offset coordinates of respective starting points of rectangles drawn by Laser Module (the black rectangle) and Artist Module (blue rectangle) with a ruler. Take point B in the following figure as the benchmark and point A as the reference point to get the X and Y axes values corresponding to the offset from point B to point A. Fill the values in the input boxes of X and Y axes in [File Settings]-[Data Offset].
Tips: As manual measurement will be subject to error, we recommend that the offset of your cutting diagram to be more than 5mm.
-
Click [Send File], you will see the black and blue rectangles drawn by the Laser Module and Artist Module overlap in the A4 paper.
