This tutorial will show you how to use the Material Test Array function in LaserPecker Design Space. This efficient feature generates an automatic test array based on your design patterns, which will bring faster material testing and a more intuitive understanding of the effects of different parameters on your final product.
Please make sure your machine is connected before running the material test array. Activate the following two options in "Experimental" of the Settings.
This function is only available in LaserPecker Design Space V5.3.7 or later.
The parameter configuration of the elements in the array cannot be changed individually after the array is generated.
The generated array includes power, depth, and number of columns & rows. You can scroll down the page to choose the carving layer, laser type and resolution.
You can preview the array and make changes to your needs. The area within the red box in the image below shows the preview area.
How to do?
Once the machine is connected, click “Material Testing” on the bottom navigation bar.
Set the maximum and minimum power and depth, as well as the number of rows and columns. You can preview the generated array to check if it matches your needs.
Select the carving layer to be tested: Fill, Picture, Line, and Cut. There are currently 4 types available.
If choosing Fill, you need to select the laser type and resolution.
If choosing Picture, you need to add a test picture, and then select the laser type and resolution.
If choosing Line or Cut, you only need to select the laser type.
Note: Adding a picture can be complicated and may make your phone laggy and the software unresponsive.
Click “√” in the upper right corner to generate a test array.
