LaserPecker 3 is a 1w, 1064nm Pulsed Infrared Laser engraving machine (its peak power can reach 10kw). The LP3 is a 1w, 1064 Pulsed Infrared Laser engraver with a peak power of 10 kw.

The recommended focal distance of the LP3 is 130 mm which can be achieved using one of the following two methods: red light focusing or manual focusing.

The standard engraving area of the LP3 is an oval measuring 115 mm x 80 mm. When using the Versatile Electric Roller accessory, the extended engraving area is a square measuring 65 mm x 65 mm.

The LP3 can engrave at speeds from 6 mm/s to 800 mm/s.

The LP3 can engrave on most pure metals and alloys including gold, silver, copper, aluminum, iron, titanium and stainless steel. The LP3 can also engrave on plastics including AEV, PET, acrylic, PH, and PVC without pretreatment. Additionally, the LP3 can engrave on artificial leather, lacquered paper and wood, and certain types of stones and clays.

Although the LP2 and the LP3 are similar in design form, their laser source is totally different. Your choice between the 2 depends on what materials you intend to be working with.
The LP2 is a Blue Diode laser, while LP3 is an Infrared laser. The LP2 can engrave on almost all organic materials and some pretreated metals and plastics.
The LP3 is designed for engraving on metals and plastics without the need for any pretreatment.
