LDS Can't Find LP5 via Wi-Fi

  • Updated

Quick Fix (Recommended)

In most cases, the issue is caused by one of the following:

  • Using a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network instead of 2.4 GHz
  • VPN is enabled
  • LDS is not updated to the latest version

Please check these first before proceeding.

Troubleshooting Steps

(1) Update LDS Software/App

Make sure you are using the latest version of LaserPecker Design Space (LDS). LP5 may not be detected if you are using version 2.5.5 or earlier.

(2) Disable VPN

If a VPN is active, turn it off and restart LDS before trying again.

(3) Use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Network

Ensure that both your LP5 and your mobile device or PC are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, make sure to select the 2.4 GHz network.

(4) Check Wi-Fi Name and Password

  • Use only letters and numbers in the Wi-Fi name and password
  • Ensure the password is entered correctly

(5) Configure Wi-Fi via USB (Important for PC Users)

When connecting LP5 to Wi-Fi for the first time or switching to a new network, you must connect the device to your computer using a USB cable.

This allows you to properly set up the Wi-Fi connection.

(6) Restart Network

Restart your router or switch to another Wi-Fi network to ensure a stable connection.

How to Confirm It’s Working

Once the connection is successful, the LP5 will appear in the LDS device list.
