LDS Can't Find LP5 via Wi-Fi

  • Updated

Problem Description

  1. LaserPecker LP5 is unable to connect successfully to LDS through the network.
  2. LP5 cannot be detected in the LDS device list even when LP5 and LDS are on the same WiFi network.

Troubleshooting

Check LDS Software/App version

  • Ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of LDS.
  • LP5 may not be recognized if you are using version 2.5.5 or earlier.

Check VPN Status

If VPN software is active, exit the VPN and restart LaserPecker Design Space to retry.

Check Wi-Fi Network

Restart your Wi-Fi device or connect to a different Wi-Fi network to ensure stability.

Verify Wi-Fi Name and Password

  • Ensure that the Wi-Fi name and password contain only letters and numbers.
  • Ensure the password is entered correctly and visibly to avoid mistakes.

Configure LP5 Wi-Fi Settings

*Only for LDS Software Users

When setting up the Wi-Fi network for the first time or changing to a new network, you must connect the machine to a computer using a USB cable. This USB connection allows you to configure the Wi-Fi settings on the machine.

Check Wi-Fi frequency band

Ensure your mobile device or PC operates on the same 2.4 GHz network as LP5.

Verify that your Wi-Fi network uses the 2.4 GHz band, not the 5 GHz band, and reconnect LP5 accordingly.
