Engraving Paused When Using Safety Enclosure

  • Updated

This article explains why engraving may be paused when using the LP Machine with the Safety Enclosure and provides solutions to address the issue.

#1 Power-Related Issues

Cause: Unstable voltage

Solution: Use the matching power adapter and check if there is any problem with the power cord and its connection to the adapter. If the power adapter cable is broken and causes abnormal output voltage, you can buy a new one from our official website

Using a third-party adapter is not recommended, as it may cause voltage issues. Excessive voltage can damage the machine, while insufficient voltage may lead to interruptions during operation.

#2 Machine Overheating

Cause: Overheating of the laser module or other components

Solution: Ensure that the working environment is well-ventilated and allow the machine to cool down before continuing work.

#3 Software Errors

Cause: Software errors can cause the machine to stop working.

Solution: Restart the software and the machine. If necessary, upgrade the software or reinstall the software.
If the problem persists after reinstalling, contact support@laserpecker.com for further assistance.

#4 Safety Alerts

Cause 1: A safety alert appears in the LDS app/software, preventing you from continuing the engraving.

Solution:

① Install the protective cover or close the front cover as the instruction shows.

② If you are sure the working environment is safe, then you can Tap the “⚙” icon and enter the “Mode Setting” screen to turn on the "Free Mode"

"Free Mode" allows the user to continue engraving without fully closing the protective cover but requires wearing protective equipment to prevent laser injuries.

Cause 2: Open Fire During Engraving

Solution:

① Press the emergency stop button or immediately cut off the power to stop laser engraving;

② Use a carbon dioxide or dry powder fire extinguisher to put out the fire. If you don't have one, you can use sand or dry earth to extinguish the flames.

Do not use water, as it can cause electrical shock risks.

③ After the fire is out, ventilate the area to allow smoke and harmful gases to clear quickly.

④ Check the engraving power settings, as they may be too high. Adjust the settings accordingly.

#5 Network Connection Issues

Cause 1: Unstable or intermittent Wi-Fi connection

Solution:

① Use the WiFiAnalyzer app to evaluate available networks and choose a stable, high-signal network.

A shorter transmission distance and higher dBm values indicate better signal strength.

② Use a wired connection to avoid connection problems.
