This article introduces the primary safety protection features of the LP2 Safeguard. To ensure these safety features function correctly, the Standard Enclosure connection cable must be properly connected as required. If the connection cable is incorrectly connected, the Standard Enclosure functions will not interlock with the machine, rendering them unable to provide the intended safety protection.
1. Emergency Stop Switch
The emergency stop switch is a critical safety device in the laser engraver. If an emergency arise, pressing this switch immediately cuts power to the machine, halting material processing to protect both the operator and the equipment.
- Activating Emergency Stop:
During emergencies (e.g., processing errors, machine malfunctions), press the emergency stop switch to rapidly shut down the machine.
- Deactivating Emergency Stop:
After resolving the emergency, rotate the emergency stop switch to release it. The equipment will then restore power for normal operation.
2. Door-Open Halt
- Halt on Door Open:
The Standard Enclosure can detect the status of the front door. If the door is opened during material processing, the machine will automatically pause laser output. - Resume on Door Close:
If processing is paused due to the door opening, close the front door and click "Resume" in LDS software to resume processing.
3. Tilt Detection
To prevent engraving accidents caused by accidental machine tipping or displacement due to external impact during processing, the machine will immediately stop laser output if tilt or displacement is detected.
4. Overheat Protection
LP2 has an overheat protection mechanism. When the Laser Unit reaches a certain temperature, overheat protection will be triggered to stop the laser output.
