This guide provides easy steps to use the Versatile Electric Roller with your LaserPecker LP2 Safeguard.
Step 1: Connect the Versatile Electric Roller
Follow the user manual to connect the Versatile Electric Roller to your LP2, as shown in the image below:
Turn on the power, and check if the Versatile Electric Roller indicator light turns on.
Step 2: Place Engraving Material
Place your cylindrical engraving material onto the Versatile Electric Roller.
Step 3: Activate Versatile Electric Roller in LDS
In the mode settings, turn on the Versatile Electric Roller switch and select the Cylinder Mode.
Step 4: Import Design
Import the image you wish to engrave into LDS software. Adjust the image size and position as needed.
Step 5: Preview and Focus
Click the "Preview" button. Adjust the Laser Unit's height to the correct focal position. Click "Continue" to enable rolling preview for cylindrical engraving, then click "Next" to proceed.
It's normal for the preview frame to change from a rectangle to a straight line when Versatile Electric Roller is enabled.
Step 6: Start Engraving
Set the resolution and engraving parameters. Close the front door, and then click "Start Engraving."
Other Tips
- Adjusting the rotation angle of the element can make the engraved pattern appear horizontally or vertically on the cylindrical object.
- If the cylindrical object is frictionless, please wrap silicone bands on it.
