1. "Lower the Focus" Function Description
When cutting thicker materials, typically those over 6 mm, you can appropriately lower the laser focal length and focus the laser in the middle of the material to produce a more uniform energy density distribution on the upper and lower surfaces of the material, thereby improving the laser's cutting ability.
2. Enable the "Lower the Focus" function
After selecting the object on the canvas, select "Cut" mode on the right-side panel.
Click to turn on the "Lower the Focus" function.
3. Set the lowering distance
The lowering range that the software can set is 1 mm to 20 mm. The best lowering distance depends on the thickness and properties of the material, the focal length of the focusing lens, and the size of the spot after focusing. In most cases, lowering the focus by 3 mm can improve the cutting effect. Different materials may require different values. You can try different lowering distances to find the most suitable setting.
