If you notice a discrepancy between the marked processing area and the actual processing position when using the Red Crosshair for calibration, follow the steps below to calibrate the Red Crosshair.
If the Distance Sensor and Camera have not been calibrated, we recommend calibrating them first. Following this sequence will provide the most stable and accurate results with LX2's functions:
Distance Sensor → Camera → Red Crosshair.
1. Prepare materials
(1) Place the processing material in the center of the Base Plate. Ensure it is securely fixed (e.g., with a magnet) and laid flat. You can use a material like paper, wood, or any other material that provides a strong contrast with the engraving effect.
2. Run the "Red Crosshair Calibration" function
(1) Click the gear icon in the top right corner to open the Device Settings interface.
(2) Open the Device Calibration section, find the Red Crosshair Calibration function, and click Start to begin calibration.
(3) Click to open the Recommended Material List to check if there are corresponding engraving parameters.
If none are available, you can manually adjust the engraving settings to achieve better engraving results.
(4) Click the Auto Distance Measurement button and wait for the device to complete the distance measurement.
(6) Click "Process" and press the device button to start processing. Wait for the machine to engrave the calibration pattern on the material.
(7) Move the Laser Module manually to align the red crosshair with the pattern, then press the device button on the machine. The Red Crosshair Calibration is now complete.
