This guide provides easy steps to use the L-shaped positioner with your LaserPecker LP2 Plus to achieve batch material engraving.
The Usage of L-shaped Positioners
Install the L-shaped positioners:
Align the groove on the bottom of the L-shaped positioner with the slats of the Base Plate, then press down to secure it.
Remove the L-shaped positioners:
Hold the base plate steady with one hand. With the other hand, grip the L-shaped positioner and slide it horizontally along the grooves of the Base Plate to remove it. When one slot of the L-shaped positioner is beyond the Base Plate, lift it upward to remove it from the Base Plate.
Material Preparation
Before engraving, prepare the required engraving materials and the L-shaped positioner. Make sure that all materials are identical in material, size, and thickness. Otherwise, deviations may occur in the engraving pattern’s effect and position.
Step-by-Step Engraving Guide
Step 1. Connecting Software
- Connect your LP2 Plus to the LaserPecker Design Space App.
- Tap the "Create" button to access the canvas.
Step 2. Import Your Design
- Import the image, text, or pattern to be engraved from the toolbar on the bottom-left side of the canvas.
- Swipe the editing bar to the left and adjust the file’s size and position as needed.
Step 3. Preview
- Tap the "Preview" button in the top right corner of the canvas to start the focal distance adjustment. After completing the focal length adjustment, install the L-shaped positioner on the Base Plate to hold the engraving material in place.
- Then tap the "Full Screen" button to return to the canvas. Slide the editing bar all the way to the right and use the Move & Rotate buttons to fine-tune the element position. In the pop-up window, the values "1," "2," and "5" represent movement distance units. Tap the arrows in the window to adjust the element position precisely and achieve accurate alignment.
Step 4. Start Engraving
- Once the preview is complete, set the resolution, edit the file name, and tap the "Send file" button.
- After sending the file, set the engraving parameters as needed, then tap the "Start" button to start engraving.
Step 5. Batch Engraving with the App & L-shaped Positioner
- After engraving is complete, remove the finished material and place a new piece to the base plate, aligning it properly. Make sure the material fits firmly against the L-shaped positioner to prevent shifting.
- In LDS, tap the "Repeat" button. The software will retain the previous engraving parameters, so no changes are required.
