Using Rotary Extension with LP2 Plus

Introduction to the Rotary Extension

Follow the Quick Assembly guide in the User Manual. Secure the rotary headstock to the Base Plate using the provided screws. Install either the single step jaws, double step jaws, or stud component onto the Rotary Extension according to your needs.

(1) Install the elevation pad, then position the LP2 Plus machine and Rotary Extension as shown.

(2) With the power adapter disconnected, use the provided cable to connect the Rotary Extension to the LP2 Plus.

Step 1 Secure the Object

(1) Lock the Chuck's Starting Position

① Choose a suitable starting position for engraving.

② Align the chuck's white dots (2 in image) with the arrow indicator.

③ Press the Lock Button (1 in image) to secure the position.

Note
The Lock Button prevents unintended rotation during setup.

(2) Adjust for Larger Materials

Rotate the chuck (3 in image) counterclockwise to open the jaws for larger diameter objects.

(3) Release the Lock Button

After securing the object, press the Lock Button up to allow the chuck to rotate freely.

Step 2 Connect to LDS App / PC

(1) Turn on the LP2 Plus via the power adapter. The indicator light will illuminate and flash blue

Note
If the protective cover is not yet installed, power on the machine first, then adjust the height of the Electric Stand before installing the cover.

(2) Adjust the Electric Stand so the protective cover does not touch the engraving material, allowing free rotation during engraving.

(3) Connect the LP2 Plus to the LaserPecker Design Space App. Once connected, the indicator light will remain solid blue.

Step 3 Start Engraving

(1) Tap "Create" to open the canvas.

(2) Tap the ⚙ button at the top right to open Mode Settings and enable "Rotary Extension" mode.

(3) Confirm that the Rotary Extension communicates successfully with the Laser Unit. Import the image, text, or pattern from the toolbar on the bottom-left.

(4) Swipe the editing bar left and adjust size and position as needed.

(5) Tap "Preview" at the top right. Enter the diameter or circumference (mm/inch). Incorrect or missing values may cause deformation or overlapping.

(6) After setting the diameter, adjust the focal distance. Tap "Continue" to start the preview. In Rotary Extension Mode, the preview appears as a straight line with the rotary headstock rotating.

(7) Set resolution, edit the file name, and tap "Send file".

(8) Set engraving parameters as needed, then tap "Start" to begin engraving.
