This guide provides simple steps to use the Versatile Electric Roller with your LaserPecker LP4 Safeguard.
Step 1: Connect the Versatile Electric Roller
(1) Follow the user manual to connect the Versatile Electric Roller to your LP4.
(2) Turn on the power and check that the indicator light on the roller turns on.
Step 2: Place the Engraving Material
Place your cylindrical engraving material securely onto the Versatile Electric Roller.
Step 3: Activate the Roller in LDS
(1) In the Mode Settings, turn on the Versatile Electric Roller switch.
(2) Select Cylinder Mode.
Step 4: Import Your Design
(1) Import the image you wish to engrave into the LDS software.
(2) Adjust the image size and position as needed.
Step 5: Preview and Focus
(1) Click Preview.
(2) Adjust the Laser Unit’s height to the correct focal position.
(3) Click Continue to enable the rolling preview for cylindrical engraving, then click Next to proceed.
When the Versatile Electric Roller is enabled, it’s normal for the preview frame to change from a rectangle to a straight line.
Step 6: Start Engraving
(1) Set the resolution and engraving parameters.
(2) Close the front door.
(3) Click Start Engraving to begin.
Other Tips
(1) Adjusting the rotation angle of the element can make the engraved pattern appear horizontally or vertically on the cylindrical object.
(2) For frictionless objects, wrap silicone bands around the cylinder to prevent slipping.
