LX2 No Laser Output

  • Updated

Problem Description

The machine powers on normally, but the laser does not emit during preview or engraving.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Verify the Red Crosshair Laser

The red crosshair laser should illuminate immediately after the machine is powered on and initialized.

If no red light appears:

  • The laser cable may be loose or connected in the wrong direction.
  • Power off the machine and reconnect the Laser Module power cable securely.

2. Check the Laser Protective Lens

Dirt or debris on the lens may block the laser output.

  • Inspect the protective lens.
  • Clean it following the instructions in the User Manual if needed.

3. Confirm the Power Adapter Rating

The LX2 requires 24V / 10A or higher power input.

  • Make sure the adapter meets this rating.
  • The indicator light should remain solid green.
  • If the light flickers or shows abnormal behavior, test with another compatible adapter.

4. Special Notes for the 1064nm 2W Laser

The 1064nm laser is invisible infrared, so no visible beam appears.

If the material shows no marking:

  • Ensure it is suitable for 1064nm processing (mainly metals and plastics).
  • Re-check the focal length. Use Auto Measure again or measure manually.

5. Review Engraving Parameters

If the power setting is too low, the laser may not leave visible marks.

Increase power gradually and test again.

6. Test Using Built-in Clipart / Shape

To rule out issues from the design file:

  • Try engraving the built-in Clipart or sample Shape in LDS.
  • If these engrave normally, the issue may come from the original file.
