Troubleshooting Steps

1. Common Solution

Most of the above errors can be resolved by recalibrating the camera. Follow the official guide to calibrate the LX2 camera: Calibrating the LX2 Camera.

2. Update Software and Firmware

2.1 Checking the Software Version

If the primary error is "Photo Capture Failed", ensure that both your LDS software and LaserPecker LX2 firmware are updated to the latest versions.

  • Click the "Main menu" button in the top-left corner → select Settings.
  • Open About LDS.
  • The current software version is displayed on the right.

If the software or firmware is outdated, install the latest versions and try refreshing the camera background again.

3. Inspecting the Camera and Base Plate

If the error message is "Marker dots may be dirty or obscured. Image is for reference only. Please use the red crosshair for positioning.", follow these steps:

(1) Clean the camera lens

Check if the camera lens is dirty. Clean the surface using a lens cloth or lint-free cloth.

(2) Check reference dots

Inspect whether the four black-and-white reference dots on the Base Plate are obstructed by any objects.

(3) Material blocking reference dots

If the material is too large and covers the reference dots, switch to the Calibrate function for positioning.

(4) Replace damaged reference dots

If the reference dots are damaged, use the replacement stickers from the toolkit. Apply them precisely to the original positions, then recalibrate the camera.
