The Layers and Objects function lets you assign elements to independent layers. This allows you to set each layer’s processing mode (e.g., Fill Engraving, Line Engraving, Cutting), parameters (Power, Speed, etc.), object name, and processing order. Additional editing functions help you manage your design efficiently.
1. Assign Layers
- Select one or more design elements on the canvas.
- Choose a color from the layer list at the bottom of the software interface to assign a layer.
You can also right-click the selected element and select a different color from the menu to change its layer assignment.
2. Edit Layer Parameters
- Click a blank area on the canvas to display the Parameters Overview in the right-side panel.
- Click a specific layer to edit its processing parameters.
3. Manage Objects
Click the Layers & Objects button in the lower-left corner of the software to open the Object Management List.
Object Management Functions:
(1) Rename Objects: Double-click an object’s name in the list to rename it.
(2) Adjust Object Order: Drag the object up or down in the list to change its processing sequence.
(3) Hide and Lock Objects:
Hide: Remove the object from the canvas view.
Lock: Prevent the object from being selected or edited.
4. Configure Processing Path
The Processing Path determines the order in which layers are processed:
(1) Auto-Planning: The software automatically optimizes the toolpath, minimizing travel distance for faster processing.
(2) By Object Order: Processes objects according to their order in the object list (top to bottom). Use this mode when a strict sequence is required, such as cutting before engraving.
