2. Component Introduction
3. Fire Extinguishing Set Installation
(1) Turn off the power. Locate the installation position as indicated by the green area.
(2) Align the Rear Cover mounting holes with the pre-drilled holes on the machine. Secure the Rear Cover with two M3×6 screws.
(3) Position the Front Cover Assembly according to the arrow direction and attach it to the Rear Cover using three M3×6 screws. Connect the Electrical Control Cable.
4. Fire Extinguisher Unit Activation
(1) Electrical Activation
Requires the Flame Alarm function in LDS software (see LX2 Flame Alarm Guide).
When a sustained flame is detected, a Large Fire Warning appears on the LDS interface, and the system activates the Fire Extinguisher Unit automatically via electrical ignition.
(2) Thermal Automatic Activation
Independent protection: when the thermal sensor detects 170°C ±10°C, the Fire Extinguisher Unit releases the extinguishing agent automatically.
(3) Immediate Actions
- Press the Emergency Stop button to cut power and extinguish any remaining flame.
- Ventilate the area or use an air purifier to clear smoke.
- Inspect the machine interior carefully. Clean the Base Plate before restoring power.
5. Machine Cleaning
(1) Cooling Period: After activation, allow the machine to sit for at least two hours to cool down before performing a full cleaning. If immediate cleaning is necessary, wear heat-resistant gloves and begin cleaning approximately five minutes after the fire has been extinguished.
(2) Residue Removal: Residue or powder may remain around the Fire Extinguishing Unit installation area after activation. First, wipe the area with a cloth dampened in alcohol, then follow with a cloth dampened in clean water to remove any remaining alcohol residue and ensure the interior of the machine is clean.
6. Fire Extinguishing Set Replacement
(1) After discharge, let it cool. Remove three screws on the Front Cover Assembly using an H2.5 hex key.
(2) Remove the two screws securing the Fire Extinguisher Unit.
(3) Install a new Fire Extinguisher Unit with two M3×6 screws and nuts. Ensure correct cable orientation.
(4) Reattach the Front Cover Assembly and reconnect the Electrical Control Cable.
7. Important Safety Warnings
(1) Risk of Disabling the Alarm: Disabling the Flame Alarm function in the LDS software will deactivate intelligent fire detection and Electrical Activation capabilities. In this case, only the thermal automatic activation function will remain operational as a backup.
(2) Maintain a Clean Processing Environment: Always keep the work area clean and free of debris to reduce potential fire hazards during operation.
(3) Replace the Fire Extinguishing Set Immediately: The Fire Extinguishing Set is a single-use safety consumable. Regardless of how it was triggered, it must be replaced promptly following the correct procedure to ensure ongoing protection. After activation, strictly follow the post-incident sequence: Power Off → Ventilate → Clean → Replace.
