LDS 3.X Beta Toolbar

When you open a project, the LaserPecker Design Space (LDS) toolbar appears in the sidebar on the left side of the workspace. It includes a set of quick and intuitive design tools, complete with graphic editing features and an image gallery. Click an icon or use keyboard shortcuts to access each tool.

1. Main Menu

The Main Menu provides access to key functions such as file import/export, help center, announcements, Laser Safety Officer(LSO) Training, and software settings.

2. Selection Tool

Allows you to select objects on the canvas by clicking or dragging a selection box, enabling basic operations like moving and editing.

3. Hand Tool

Used to drag the canvas and view different areas on the canvas.

4. Undo & Redo

  • Undo: When the user makes a mistake or deletes it by mistake, you can use this button to return to the previous operation.
  • Redo: Contrary to Undo, when there are too many undo times, you can use this button to return to the previous step of undo.

5. Other Basic Tools

  • Cut: Right‑click an element and select Cut to move it to the clipboard. Shortcut: Ctrl + X.
  • Copy: Right‑click an element and select Copy to duplicate it to the clipboard while keeping it on the canvas. Shortcut: Ctrl + C.
  • Paste: Right‑click anywhere on the canvas and select Paste to place the clipboard content onto the canvas. Shortcut: Ctrl + V.
  • Delete: Right‑click an element and select Delete to remove it. Shortcut: Delete.

  • Select All: Right‑click an empty area on the canvas and choose Select All to highlight every element on the canvas. Shortcut: Ctrl + A.

Left Toolbar

The toolbar is located on the left side of the interface. Its primary function is to help users quickly import or design a series of patterns, providing tools such as pencil, shape, importing images, or clipart.

1. Import Image

Click the icon to open an image from your computer, or drag and drop an image directly onto the canvas. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, BMP, SVG, DXF, and G‑code.

2. Pencil and Pen

  • Click the Pencil icon, then hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor on the canvas to draw freehand lines.

  • Click the Pen icon, then click on the canvas to place anchor points. The Pen Tool will create vector paths between the anchor points.

3. Text

Click the icon to switch to the Text Tool. Click anywhere on the canvas to insert a text box. You can edit the font, size, line spacing, column spacing, and alignment using the options at the top. Double‑click the text to edit its content; click outside the text box to exit editing mode.

4. Shape

Click the icon to switch to the Shape Tool, which can generate lines, rectangles, ellipses, polygons, stars, and hearts.

5. Clipart

Click to open the Clipart library, which offers a variety of vector graphic assets.

6. My Projects

Users can add local images to the My Projects list. This feature requires logging into an account and supports synchronizing and managing projects across multiple devices.

7. Tool Center

LDS 3.0 integrates several features—such as Barcode Generation, Matrix Array, Circular Array, Material Test Array, Batch Fill, and Puzzle—into the Tool Center, making it easier for users to find and use them. For detailed instructions on each function, please refer to LDS 3.0 Beta Tool Center.
