When you attempt to process multiple materials at once, the Batch Fill function may fail to work properly or may not fully cover the canvas. In such cases, a pop-up message will appear indicating "Batch Fill Failed", as shown below.
This issue is usually related to material conditions, camera recognition, or environmental factors. Please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
1. Check Batch Material Size Consistency
The LX2 only supports processing batches of materials that are identical in type and size.
Make sure all items in the batch have the same dimensions. If materials differ in size or specification, process them in separate batches.
2. Check Material Size and Spacing
Each material should be at least 2 cm in size.
There should be at least 10 mm of spacing between individual pieces.
Very small materials may not be detected correctly. For best results, arrange all materials in the same direction to ensure consistent engraving performance.
3. Check Material Color
Make sure the material color does not blend with the black base plate.
If the material is too dark or similar in color, apply a light-colored water-based coating to the surface, or replace it with a different material.
A clear contrast between the background and the engraving material is necessary for proper camera detection.
4. Check the Base Plate
Ensure the base plate is clean and free of dust or stains.
If there are visible scratches or marks, cover them using black tape or a black marker to improve recognition consistency.
5. Clean the Camera Lens
Dirt or smudges on the camera lens may affect recognition accuracy.
Use a cotton swab lightly moistened with alcohol to gently clean the lens.
6. Check Lighting Conditions and Material Properties
Ensure the working area is well-lit, with stable and evenly distributed lighting.
Avoid overly complex lighting environments or reflections. You can also adjust the lighting brightness settings in the software if needed.
Do not use materials that are highly reflective, too thick, hollow, tangled, or irregular in shape, as they may affect recognition performance.
