Stability Fixes & Bug Resolutions

  • Fixed Occasional Failure When Refreshing  Background

When using the "Refresh Background" feature to capture the live camera feed as the processing background, the image occasionally failed to update or triggered a capture error. (Fixed; background image refresh is now stable and reliable.)

  • Fixed Occasional Probe Deployment Failure During Auto-Measuring

When running the auto-measuring function, the probe occasionally failed to descend, prompting a "Probe Pop-Up Failed" alert in the software. (Fixed; the measuring process is now stable and reliable.) We sincerely thank Dmitriy for this feedback.

  • Fixed Occasional Misalignment Between Engraving and Preview Positions

During engraving tasks, the actual machining path occasionally shifted or deviated from the software preview path. (Fixed; engraving execution now aligns precisely with the preview position.) We sincerely thank Mark Moran for this feedback.

  • Fixed Occasional Video Stream Issues During Engraving

While running an engraving task, the real-time software preview occasionally experienced lagging, screen artifacts, or signal loss. (Fixed; the video stream remains stable, clear, and smooth throughout processing.)

  • Other Known Bug Fixes & Optimizations

Firmware LX2 v9008.5.11

1. New & Enhanced Features

  • Optimized Laser Temperature Alert Thresholds:

Low-temperature alert adjusted to 5°C and high-temperature alert adjusted to 55°C.

2. Stability Fixes & Bug Resolutions

  • Occasional Device Disconnection on Mac:

When operating on macOS, the device could occasionally disconnect during use. (Fixed; device connection is now stable and reliable.) We sincerely thank Mike for this feedback.

  • Y-axis Stretching and Layer Separation in Low-Speed Fill Engraving:

When engraving rectangular fill elements in LightBurn at very low speeds, results could occasionally appear stretched along the Y-axis, accompanied by layer separation. (Fixed; Y-axis distortion and layer separation have been eliminated, ensuring accurate shapes and consistent layer bonding.) We sincerely thank Mike for this feedback.

  • Abnormal Device Name Display During Network Configuration:

During Wi-Fi setup, the device name could occasionally display incorrectly. (Fixed; the device name now displays correctly and consistently.)

  • Unexpected Return to Canvas After Canceling a Job:

After canceling the processing task, clicking "Process Again" could occasionally return the software to the Canvas instead of continuing the process. (Fixed; "Process Again" now correctly process again.)

  • Fixed Camera Calibration Pop-up Issue:

Resolved an issue where pop-up messages could display abnormally during camera calibration when using the multifunction button. (Fixed; All prompts now display correctly throughout the calibration process.)

Tips
For better results in high-speed mode, set Overscan Distance ≥ 40 mm in the software.

Firmware LX2 v9008.4.6

1. New & Enhanced Features

  • System Stability Optimization:

Optimized the status indication of the Annular Light to enhance system stability. During OTA updates, the indicator has been changed from alternating red and blue flashing to solid red or solid blue. During engraving, the light effect has been optimized from a breathing pattern to stable states (e.g., solid green, solid purple, or off).

  • Optimized Annular Light Status During Rotary Connection:

Fixed an issue where the Annular Light would display abnormal colors (yellow/red) when the device was in a reboot state during connection. The indicator now remains solid blue to indicate a stable connection status.

2. Stability Fixes & Bug Resolutions

  • Fixed Occasional Request Timeout When Exiting Preview in Rotary Extension Mode:

Clicking "Exit Preview" in Rotary Extension Mode would occasionally cause a request timeout. (Fixed; the exit preview request is now stable, without timeout exceptions.)

  • Fixed Occasional Background Refresh Failure:

Clicking the background refresh (camera) icon would occasionally cause calibration data storage to fail, triggering an "Unable to refresh background" error. (Fixed; calibration data storage is now stable, and the background refresh completes normally.)

  • Fixed Occasional Machine Crash in Rotary Extension Mode:

The machine would occasionally crash during preview in Rotary Extension Mode. (Fixed; the preview process is now stable, with no more crashes.)

  • Fixed Occasional Communication Interruption During Idle:

The machine would occasionally report a communication interruption after being connected but idle for an extended period. (Fixed; the communication connection now remains stable during idle periods, with no interruption prompts.)

  • Fixed Occasional Communication Interruption When Exiting Preview in Curved Surface Mode:

Long-pressing the multi-function button to exit preview in Curved Surface Mode would occasionally cause a communication interruption. (Fixed; the exit preview operation now responds stably, with no more communication interruptions.)

  • Fixed Occasional Icon Status Anomaly After USB Drive Removal:

The USB drive icon would occasionally still display as "Inserted" after the drive was physically removed. (Fixed; the icon status now updates promptly and displays correctly.)

  • Fixed Occasional Machine Crash During USB Drive Engraving:

Pressing the multi-function button at the start of an engraving job from a USB drive file could cause the machine to crash. (Fixed; the machine no longer crashes during engraving when using files from a USB drive.)

  • Fixed Machine Crash Due to LightBurn Processing with Open Door:

When using LightBurn, clicking "Process" after a console error (triggered by an open lid/door) would cause the machine to crash. (Fixed; processing is now correctly blocked if the door is open, preventing crashes.)

  • Fixed Occasional Auto-Measure Function Failure:

The laser module would occasionally fail to probe downward during the Auto-Measure process. (Fixed; the Automatic Measurement process is now stable and operates correctly.)

  • Fixed Occasional Communication Interruption After Moving Laser Module and Resetting:

Pressing the Reset button immediately after moving the laser module in the preview interface would occasionally cause a communication interruption. (Fixed; the operation logic is now stable, and communication remains connected.)

  • Fixed Network Configuration Issues with WiFi Names Containing Special Characters:

The machine would fail to connect when the WiFi or hotspot name contained non-ASCII characters (e.g., Chinese) or symbols. (Fixed; the machine can now correctly recognize and connect to WiFi networks with such special characters.)

Firmware LX2 v9008.3.8

1. New & Enhanced Features

  • Speed Preference Setting for LX2:

Introduced "Normal Mode" and "High-Speed Mode" options in Base Plate Mode for the LX2 (requires PC 3.1.1-beta or later). The High-Speed Mode is an experimental feature that currently supports fill engraving only.

2. Stability Fixes & Bug Resolutions

  • Fixed Probe Detection Offset in Rotary Extension Mode:

In Rotary Extension Mode, using the probe for distance measurement resulted in detection offsets. (Fixed; probe detection accuracy has been optimized and restored to normal.)

  • Fixed Air Assist Setting Persistence:

After a host reboot, the Air Assist would fail to retain the user's last speed setting, requiring manual adjustment. (Fixed; the system now correctly restores the last set Air Assist level upon startup.)

  • Fixed Unexpected LED Restart on Rotary Connection:

Connecting the rotary extension while the host was in an idle state would trigger an unexpected restart of the machine's LED lights. (Fixed; the LED lights now remain stable when the rotary extension is connected.)

  • Fixed Incorrect Communication Prompt When Opening Cover:

Opening the machine cover while processing was paused triggered a "Communication Interrupted" error. (Fixed; opening the cover in a paused state no longer triggers the incorrect communication prompt.)

  • Fixed Communication Error During Task Cancellation:

Long-pressing the multi-function key to cancel processing occasionally triggered a "Communication Interrupted" message. (Fixed; canceling tasks via the physical key no longer results in incorrect communication prompts.)
