How to engrave the inside of rings with LaserPecker LP5?

Step 1: Assembly of the Headstock & Tailstock

  1. Attach the Rotary Headstock to the base plate and tighten the four M3x10 screws using the H2 Hex Key.
  2. Slide the Tailstock onto the base plate's track. You can adjust its position to accommodate the size of your engraving object.image.png

Step 2: Installing The Studs

  • Alternatively, you can install the Studs by screwing the three studs into the rotary chuck, based on the size of the object you want to engrave.image (1).png

Step 3:Fix the Ring:

  • Place the ring inside the three Stars components, and adjust its position to be perfectly centered. Ensure the ring is held firmly and stably.image (2).png

Step 4:Rotary Extension Connection

  1. First, attach the protective shield to the laser unit and plug in the USB cable.
  2. Then, use the 1.0m USB cable to connect the laser unit to the Rotary Extension. A blue light will indicate a successful connection.
  3. Finally, use the 0.6m USB cable to connect the Rotary Extension to the Electric Standimage (3).png

Step 5:Software and Engraving

  1. Open the LaserPecker Design Space app and connect to the LP5.
  2. In the app's mode settings, activate the "Rotary Extension" mode. The red rectangle on the screen indicates the largest work ing area when using the Rotary Extension.

  1. Select the "Text" tool , import the text content to engrave, adjust its size and angle as needed.
Rotate the text by 90 degrees to ensure it is oriented horizontally for ring engraving.

  1. Click "Preview",The software will ask you to input the object's perimeter or diameter on the Settings page.

  1. Measure the inner diameter of the ring (e.g., 20 mm) and enter the diameter of the ring into the App.image (7).png

  1. Adjust the height of the Electric Stand so that the two red dots emitted by the laser completely align and overlap. It is recommended to aim the light spots at a black card for clearer observation.image (8).png

  1. Click "Continue" for a dynamic image preview. (The preview box will become a line, which is normal under the Rotary Extension mode)image (9).pngimage (15).png
