What Is Tilt Protection?
Tilt protection is an important safety mechanism in the LP4 laser engraver. It immediately terminates laser output and cuts off the internal power supply to the laser when the device tilt angle exceeds the safety threshold, thereby preventing accidental injury or damage caused by the device tipping over.
Its working principle is as follows: The device has a built-in high-precision gyroscope sensor that monitors the installation angle of the galvo scanner in real time. When the device is not properly installed (i.e., there is a gap between it and the reference plane), causing the tilt angle to exceed the safety threshold, the system determines that it is in an unsafe state, automatically cuts off the laser drive circuit, and forcibly stops laser emission.
1.Normal Operation: When the device is correctly installed and the body remains parallel to the surface of the engraving material, the tilt protection mechanism will not be triggered, and the device can emit laser normally (as shown below).
2.Safety Protection: The device has a built-in tilt protection mechanism. When the body tilt angle exceeds the set threshold, the tilt protection mechanism will take effect immediately, and the system will forcibly disable laser output in the background, thereby avoiding accidental injury or equipment damage (as shown below).
