Rotary Extension General Troubleshooting

  • Updated

Q: The Rotary Extension does not respond or rotate after being powered on. How should I troubleshoot and resolve this?

1. Check the Physical Lock Button

Make sure the lock button on the Rotary Extension is not pressed. If it is pressed, release it.image (40).png

2. Check the Indicator Light Status

  • After powering on, check whether the Rotary Extension indicator light turns blue. If it does not, check the following in order:
  1. Replace the USB cable and reconnect the Rotary Extension to test.image (41).png
  2. Connect the Rotary Extension to another USB-A port on the Laser Unit.image (42).png

3. Confirm the correct power-on sequence

Make sure the Rotary Extension is connected to the USB-A port on the Laser Unit, and then enable “Rotary Extension Mode” in LDS.

If the sequence is incorrect, after connecting the Rotary Extension, turn the Rotary Extension mode off and on again in the software settings.

4. Check Whether the Motor Has Resistance

After powering on and enabling Rotary Extension Mode, gently rotate the Rotary Extension to check whether there is some resistance.

If there is no resistance, go to the Mode Settings page, enable and then disable Rotary Extension Mode again, then gently rotate the Rotary Extension to check for resistance.

If there is still no resistance, please record a video and send it to us.

5.  Confirm Whether the Rotary Extension Rotates Properly During Preview

If there is resistance, import a graphic onto the canvas, click [Preview], enter the circumference or diameter of the object, and click [Next] to enter the Preview Screen.
