Why is Focusing Necessary?
For Laser engraver, lenses are often used to focus the laser beams. The laser beam will be refracted or reflected when passing through the lens, its direction and focus will then be altered.
Without proper focusing, the laser beam may defocus, bringing unclear, blurry, or uneven engravings.
Proper focusing will ensure the laser beam gathers on the right point, concentrating its energy at the focus for high-quality engravings.

LP3’s recommended focusing distance is 130mm；
Press the electric stand button to rise or drop 1mm;
press and hold for continuous rise or drop
LP3 Focusing Principle
LP3 uses dual red lights for focusing. Next to the laser field lens, there are two apertures emitting the red light, converging at 130mm from the field lens.
Based on such focusing principle, when both red lights hit the material to be engraved simultaneously, two red dots will be generated. If the material is exactly 130mm from the lens, two red dots will merge into one brighter dot, indicating successful focus.
In practical use, three focusing methods are available based on different scenarios:
Red Light Focusing, Measurement Focusing
1. Red Dot Focusing
Adjust the electric stand’s height to overlap two red dots coincide on the engraving material, based on LP3 focusing principle.
2. Measurement Focusing
Measure the distance between the field lens and material to be engraved with a ruler, then adjust the height of electric stand until the lens is 130mm from the material.
