Engraving Mode

In this guide, we will explain all the engraving modes available on LaserPecker machines and their accessories.

To find and use these engraving modes, follow these steps:

  1. Connect your LaserPecker machine to LaserPecker Design Space (LDS).
  2. Click on the settings ⚙️ icon in the machine info bar.
  3. Here, you can see and select different engraving modes for your chosen accessory.

The default mode is flat-surface engraving.

Slab Mode with Versatile Electric Roller

"Slab mode" is used with the Versatile Electric Roller when engraving on long flat material.

To use it, select "Mode setting" from the settings menu ⚙️, turn on the Versatile Electric Roller accessory, and select "Slab mode".

Cylinder Mode with the Versatile Electric Roller

"Cylinder mode" is used to engrave on curved objects (wooden dowels, pens, cans, etc.).

To use it, select "Mode setting" from the settings menu ⚙️, turn on the Versatile Electric Roller accessory, and select "Cylinder mode".

Trolley Mode with the Versatile Electric Roller (Only for LP2)

"Trolley mode" transforms the LP2 into a unique engraving platform that is capable of traveling up to 2000 mm.

To use it, select "Mode setting" from the settings menu ⚙️, turn on the Versatile Electric Roller accessory, and select "Trolley mode".

Rotary Extension Mode with the Rotary Extension Accessory

"Rotary Extension Mode" is used with the Rotary Extension Accessory when engraving on cylindrical and irregularly shaped objects.

To use it, attach the object to be engraved to the Rotary Extension accessory, then select "Rotary Extension Mode" and enter the diameter of the object at the point at which it will be engraved in the pop-down field under Device information.

Slide Extension Mode & Multi-File Mode with the Slide Extension Accessory

"Slide Extension Mode" is used with the Slide Extension Accessory when engraving on larger-sized objects. By Connecting the slide extension, you can get a relatively larger working area.

There is also a second mode available with the Slide Extension Accessory, called the Multi-File Mode. In this mode, the slide extension moves the engraving plate to the designated position for each engraving file, allowing it to perform the engravings sequentially.

Free Mode

Before Activating Free Mode:
1. If you choose not to connect the machine to a protection cover, you need to turn on the free mode for preview and laser engraving.
2. Opening the protection cover during engraving may cause an immediate pause. If you'd like to continue the engraving task, please close the protection cover and click the [Continue] button.
3. When the protection cover is connected, always check if the cover door is properly closed before the next steps.

Reverse Engraving (Changing Engraving Direction)

This function currently supports LP2 and LP3 only. After turning on the 'engraving direction',  the machine can start engraving in an opposite direction.

Batch Engraving Button

Attach the Batch Engraving Button to the machine with a USB cable. Turn on the mode,  then you can repeat the engraving task with only one click on the button.
