LaserPecker 4 is a feature-rich, compact, easy-to-operate, and easily installed desktop high-speed laser engraving machine. It is equipped with a 10W high-precision 450nm blue diode laser and a 2W high-precision 1064nm pulsed infrared laser. It can cut parts of 8mm wood and 5mm Opaque Acrylic, and can widely engrave various materials such as wood, paper, food, fabric, glass, alloy, metal, plastic, leather and more. With its ultra-high speed engraving of up to 2000 mm/s, it can meet the needs of the most rapid DIY customization and continuous batch engraving. How Fast is LaserPecker 4?

The LP4 has an engraving speed of 4000mm/s. Compared to the LP3 (800mm/s)and the LP2 (600mm/s), LP4 has a huge engraving speed increase.

The actual working speed varies depending on the file format, resolution, power, and depth set by the user.

 

What is a Dual Laser Source of LaserPecker 4?

The machine also has two laser sources of 10W 450 nm ( Blue Diode Laser ) and 2W 1064nm (Pulsed Infrared Laser), which greatly improves the user's engraving material breadth, engraving pattern accuracy, and engraving speed.

 

Does the Dual Laser Source Work Simultaneously or Separately?

The laser sources work independently and do not support both laser sources working simultaneously. It is possible to use two laser sources in a single engraving project for step-by-step engraving.

 

How to Choose Different Lasers for Engraving?

Depending on the material, you can choose the most suitable laser for engraving. Generally, it is recommended to prioritize a 1064nm infrared pulsed laser for materials like metals and plastics. On the mobile App/PC software/single laser mainframe touch panel, you can select the laser source before engraving.

Specifically, there are two methods to switch the laser source.

Method 1:

Users can switch the laser source on the touch screen of the engraving machine.

Method 2:

Access the laser source settings in the engraving parameter setting interface on the mobile/PC software.

In this interface, users can choose the corresponding material for the current engraving material, and the software will recommend the appropriate laser source and engraving parameters for that material. It is advised that users make slight adjustments based on their own engraving environment, materials, and actual conditions.

 

What Accessories Can Be Supported?

It supports extended accessories such as Rotary Extension, Slide Extension, Bluetooth Dongle, Batch Engraving Button, Versatile Electric Roller, etc., to realize more diverse engraving scenarios.

The Rotary Extension can provide a variety of engraving modes for different arc products. It can be engraved in a circle, spherically, cylindrically, vertically, obliquely, and so on.

The Slide Extension can meet the engraving needs of a large range of planes and can meet the engraving needs of batch patterns.

The Bluetooth Dongle is convenient for users to use the computer software Bluetooth to connect to the laser.

The batch engraving button is convenient for users to control the laser engraving machine to batch copy and engrave the latest engraving materials. 

The Versatile Electric Roller is convenient for users to engrave regular cylinder material and extend the engraving range.

What is the Engraving Area Size?

The engraving area size varies depending on the shape:

  • Ellipse area: 160*120mm.
  • Square area: 100*100mm.
  • With the sliding table, the engraving area is 160*300mm.

 

How to Preview Before Engraving?

You can enter the engraving preview mode by clicking the preview button on the laser machine's touchscreen or the mobile/PC software. The blue frame represents the preview frame before engraving, showing the engraving area on the material. It helps users identify the orientation, size, and other information about the engraving.

 

How to Focus?

During the engraving preview phase before the machine starts engraving, you can perform focusing. There are three methods to achieve focus: red light focusing, manual focusing, and protective cover focusing.

Red light focusing: Adjust the height of the laser by adjusting the height of the electric bracket so that the two red light spots emitted by the machine and displayed on the engraving material overlap together, so as to achieve successful focusing.

Manual focusing: By adjusting the electric bracket and using a ruler to measure the height of the laser field mirror to the engraving material, make it 150mm.

Protective cover focusing: Adjust the height of the electric bracket, install the protective cover on the laser, and then readjust the electric bracket's height until the protective cover touches and covers the area where the material is placed. This completes the focusing process.

 

Do I Need Safety Goggles for Protection?

Yes, during the laser engraving and cutting process, the intense light can be harsh to the eyes. It is recommended for users to wear safety goggles to protect their eyes.

 

How Long can LaserPecker 4 Work Continuously? What is Its Lifespan?

LP4 can work continuously for up to 63 hours. Its lifespan is 10,000+ hours. Reaching its lifespan doesn't mean it becomes unusable; it will only experience a gradual decrease in laser power. In such cases, you can adjust the engraving power or engraving depth settings to achieve the same effects as before. Yes, it is suitable for outdoor use. The LP4 laser engraving machine is compact, easy to install, and convenient to carry. It supports 24V/5A DC input, allowing it to be powered by portable power sources like mobile power banks for outdoor demonstrations and creative activities.

 

Can LaserPecker 4 Engrave Materials with Large Dimensions?

Yes, LP4 supports multiple angles of the laser and even allows the laser to work without the bottom engraving table, enabling it to engrave large-sized materials that may not fit on the engraving table.

 

Does LaserPecker 4 Automatically Go into Sleep Mode If not Used for a Long Time?

LP4 will not automatically sleep, but there is a sleep button on the touch screen, press it to sleep, so that it can be plugged in for a long time. When you need to wake it from sleep, touch the screen to wake it up.

 

Can I Use LaserPecker 4 independently without Connecting to a Phone or Computer?

Yes, it can. The machine has a historical engraving memory function, which can store historically connected mobile/PC software engraving document materials and their document material settings. Select the historical records to be engraved on the touch screen, and in the next step, you can directly select the engraving range to preview or directly engrave.

 

Does LaserPecker 4 Support Firmware Upgrades?

Machine Maintenance

If you notice that the laser power is getting weaker, like when engravings aren't as deep or materials aren't cutting as expected, it could be due to a dirty field lens. To fix this, gently clean the field lens using a non-woven cloth slightly dampened with alcohol.
