This tutorial will show you how to use the Material Test Array function of LaserPecker Design Space on iOS.

Function Introduction
The Material Test Array efficiently generates an automatic test based on your design. This makes setting material parameters faster and more efficient. By using this function, a user's intuitive understanding of the different effects on various projects increases.
To use the material test array function, follow these steps: Connect the Machine > Machine Settings > Experimental > Activate "Single Element Engraving Parameter" and "Single Element Transfer Engraving".
1. This function is only available in LaserPecker Design Space V5.4.0 or later.
2. The parameter configuration of the elements in the array cannot be changed individually after the array is generated.
The generated array includes the, power, depth, and number of columns & rows. Scroll down the page to select the carving layer, laser type, and resolution.
Preview the array and make changes as needed. The red box indicates the preview area in the image below.
Step-by-Step Guide to the Material Test Array Function on iOS
Step 1:
After connecting the laser and opening the LDS, click "Material Testing" on the bottom navigation bar.
Step 2:
Set the maximum and minimum power and depth, as well as the number of rows and columns. You can preview the generated array to check if it matches your needs.
Step 3
Select the carving layer to be tested. There are currently 4 types available: Fill, Picture, Line, or Cut.
- When using Fill, you need to select the laser type and resolution.
- When using Picture, you need to add a test picture, and then select the laser type and resolution.
- When using Line or Cut, you only need to select the laser type.
