LP4 Bluetooth Connection Failed

  • Updated

Issue Description

The LaserPecker LP4 cannot be detected via Bluetooth in LDS, or the Bluetooth connection fails when attempting to connect.

This issue is usually caused by Bluetooth permission restrictions, connection conflicts, unstable power supply, or the LP4 already being connected to another device.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check the LP4 Indicator Light Status

Before attempting a Bluetooth connection, check the LP4 indicator light status:

  • Blinking blue light: The LP4 is ready for Bluetooth connection and is not currently connected to another device.
  • Solid blue light: The LP4 is already connected to another device.

If the indicator light remains solid blue, disconnect the LP4 from the previously connected device before attempting a new connection.

2. Disconnect the USB Connection from the Computer

The LP4 supports only one active connection method at a time.

If the LP4 is connected to a computer via USB, disconnect the USB cable before attempting a Bluetooth connection.

3. Enable Bluetooth, Location, and GPS Permissions on Your Mobile Device

During the initial setup process, the app will request permission to access:

  • Bluetooth
  • Location services
  • GPS

Make sure all required permissions are enabled.

If you previously selected "Deny," manually enable the permissions in your mobile device settings, or uninstall and reinstall the app and grant the permissions again during setup.

4. Reconnect the Power Supply

Disconnect the LP4 power adapter, wait a few seconds, then reconnect it.

To ensure stable Bluetooth performance, it is recommended to use a reliable 24V / 5A power adapter.

5. Move Your Mobile Device Closer to the LP4

Bring your phone or tablet closer to the LP4, then refresh the Bluetooth device list in the app.

This can help eliminate temporary scanning or cached device discovery issues.

6. Restart Both the LP4 and Your Mobile Device

Restart both the LP4 and your mobile device completely, then try connecting again via Bluetooth.

Restarting the devices can help clear temporary Bluetooth communication or system service issues.
