This guide helps resolve Bluetooth connection issues for the LP1 Series, LP2, LP3, LP4, and LX1 Series.
Before You Start
Before troubleshooting, please confirm the following:
- The machine is powered on.
- The blue indicator light is blinking, which means the machine is ready for Bluetooth pairing.
- Your phone, tablet, or computer is within 1–3 meters of the machine.
- You are using the latest version of the LDS App or LDS Software.
Important:
If the blue light is not blinking, the machine may already be connected to another device.
1. Bluetooth Connection on Mobile Devices (iOS & Android)
1.1 How to Connect
Supported Models: LP1 Series, LP2, LP3, LP4, LX1 Series
(1) Power on the machine.
(2) Enable Bluetooth on your phone or tablet.
(3) Open the latest version of the LDS App.
(4) Tap the ⚙️ icon in the upper-right corner and open "Connect devices".
(5) Select your machine from the device list.
The LDS App will automatically search for nearby LaserPecker devices.
1.2 If the App Cannot Find Your Device
- Restart the phone/tablet and reopen the LDS App.
- Move the mobile device closer to the machine.
- Make sure the machine is not connected to another phone, tablet, or computer.
- Update the LDS App to the latest version.
- Update the machine firmware to the latest version.
- Try connecting with another mobile device to check compatibility.
- Try using a different power adapter or USB cable to rule out unstable power issues.
1.3 Android Permission Settings
Android devices require Bluetooth and Location permissions to scan nearby Bluetooth devices.
LaserPecker does not collect or store your location data. Location/GPS permission is required only by the Android operating system for Bluetooth scanning.
- Enable Bluetooth permission.
- Enable Location/GPS permission.
- If permission was denied previously, enable it manually in your phone settings or reinstall the LDS App and allow permissions during first launch.
1.4 iPhone / iPad Permission Settings
On iOS/iPadOS devices, only Bluetooth permission is required.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth.
- Enable Bluetooth access for LaserPecker Design Space.
This permission allows the LDS App to search for LaserPecker devices, establish Bluetooth connections, and communicate with the machine.
2. Bluetooth Connection on PC
2.1 Supported Models
LP2, LP3, LP4, LX1 Series
The LP1 Series supports Bluetooth connection with mobile devices only and does not support Bluetooth connection with desktop or laptop computers.
2.2 Before Connecting
- Install the required connection driver.
- Plug the LaserPecker Bluetooth Dongle into a USB-A port on the computer.
- Open the latest version of LDS Software.
For the best compatibility and connection stability, we strongly recommend using the official LaserPecker Bluetooth Dongle instead of the computer’s built-in Bluetooth adapter.
2.3 How to Connect
(1) Power on the machine.
(2) Open LDS Software.
(3) Click "Connect Device" in the upper-right corner.
(4) Select "Bluetooth".
(5) Select your machine from the device list.
2.4 If Bluetooth Connection Fails
- Disconnect any USB Type-C cable connected to the machine.
- Reconnect the Bluetooth Dongle.
- Restart both the computer and the machine.
- Update LDS Software to the latest version.
- Update the machine firmware to the latest version.
- Try using another USB port on the computer.
If a USB cable is connected, the machine may prioritize USB communication instead of Bluetooth, which can prevent Bluetooth pairing.
3. Still Unable to Connect?
If the machine still cannot be detected or connected after completing all troubleshooting steps above, please contact LaserPecker Support and provide:
- Machine model
- Firmware version
- LDS App / LDS Software version
- A short video showing the issue
